Lighting Survey
Susan Dee Associates, as subcontractor to Novus Engineering, P.C. conducted a survey of three community colleges for the Metropolitan Community College District. The survey focused on educational and administrative buildings in excess of 1.4 million square feet. This project was a major portion of a larger energy performance contract.
Data was collected, evaluated and compiled in order to develop an energy-efficient strategy for decreasing energy costs. A database was developed to calculate energy savings, construction costs and payback.
Our recommendations focused on the installation of occupancy sensors, some fixture changes, modifications to existing fixtures, and measures to reduce lighting hours.
